Also involved in identifying and implementing initiatives to reduce the overall supply chain cost base. A key part of this role is to successfully negotiate the best price whilst ensuring the best quality as well as managing all stages of the production process in line with the brand campaign requirements. This role is client focused providing complex, multi-product responses and advising companies on how they can "promote their brand" more effectively, through a wide range of personalised POS and Print products. Currently dealing with large well-known brands and high street names as well as working at the clients’ head offices for a number of months training them on company systems. Being the main point of contact for the clients printing needs as well as managing the client expectations to the full.Duties• Interpreting the brief from the Account Director before briefing production and print suppliers whilst ensuring quotes are received in a timely manner• Raising and sending purchase orders to suppliers whilst adhering to relevant procedures• Maintaining and updating accurate due dates for delivery of products, so that the warehouse and sales teams can plan their workload and manage customer expectations• Selecting the most appropriate supplier from the pool of approved suppliers whilst negotiating with them to drive prices down whilst retaining quality and maximizing profitability• Resolving queries or discrepancies on deliveries arriving into the warehouse as well as resolving invoice queries• Provides specialist production advice and support to other departments in particular the Account Management team. -
