In this current role, I am a self-employed consultant offering services to multiple clients including Business Analysis, Solutions Design and Technology Solutions.Primarily I have been contracted by Advanced, as a product and process specialist, to assist with continued Analysis of their SME business offering, Exchequer, providing consultancy on new software features and update of existing features in line with HMRC compliance, and to facilitate the transfer of knowledge and skills during their office move from Bournemouth to Birmingham. I have also been asked to attend Advanced customer roadshows as a keynote speaker.

Responsible for meeting with clients, new and existing, performing an analysis of their business process requirements, following which a design document would be produced to drive any development or configuration required to the Access Focal Point product. In line with the required design Ian would in some instance be responsible for creating SQL Views and/or Stored Procedures where required.Also took on the role of Project Manager and Systems designer working to replace and improve the company IT infrastructure for an existing client

Working in the Professional Services department of the Advanced Business Solutions Business unit, I was responsible for chairing face to face meetings with new and existing customers, from various industries to gain an understanding of their business process requirements with the intent of designing the Software and Implementation of the Exchequer SMe suite in their business.Following these meetings I was responsible for creating a Statement of Works or Solutions Proposals with recommendations for the best use of the software, any changes to business processes, outlining the solutions and training plans.I also provided internal consultancy to the business, assisting in any solutions, core software design, and systems analysis providing training requirements where identified.Before my role as Solutions Consultant Ia the QA team as a software tester and technical author for all customer funded development, and the support team for over 3 yearsOver these years, I have been asked to attend their Customer Events, and appeared as a keynote speaker, comfortable in a customer facing environment which focuses on building customer relations.
