20 years ago, I started working at a POP agency in Leicester, UK. It was my first exposure to the world of retail. And I was hooked.Retail is where every bit of marketing activity finally delivers – when the end customer finally puts their hand in their pocket (or taps their phone, or shows their face…you get the picture….). Then we consider shoppers – the fickle, inconsistent, emotionally driven variable that makes it so hard to be sure you got it right. The behavioural aspect of shoppers intrigues me and I love considering their viewpoint.All of this fascination leads me to starting my own consultancy, aiming to share what I have learnt and to help a broad range of retailers, brands and agencies to clarify their view on the retail landscape.I can provide a variety of services that include; - researching and developing retail & marketing strategies; scoping objectives, researching target audiences, developing message hierarchy and implementation- presenting global retail trends so you can see developing behaviour and solutions across different categories- hosting retail safaris that are product and brand agnostic to view first hand, great examples of retail best practice- sharing shopper marketing insights and retail research to provide a broader understanding of how retail is evolving-Introduce and develop innovation programmes; clarifying key objectives, identifying and evolving relevant new ideas that can go into store- creating effectiveness processes to measure, understand and improve your POS efficiency in-store.Take a look at my posts and articles to see if my viewpoint resonates with your own.
