• To ensure all PMUK appliances for which PMUK have a regulatory responsibility are compliant to the associated mandatory and customer specific regulations which apply. This process can involve the following:• Identify the relevant Directives and Standards applicable to a new product based on the type of appliance , location and conditions of use and customer specific requirements.• Close liaison with PMUK marketing and design departments, SMT and EMC/ErP laboratories and external certification bodies at contract review stage.• To assist with calculation of cost of regulatory approval for new projects during planning stage.• Checking of LVD CB / CCA type Safety Test Reports, • Ensuring correct approval processes have been completed with regard to Standby Power, RoHS, Energy Labelling and any other approvals applicable to the product concerned.
