As an events intern, my main priorities are to plan and manage the various events that occur around the Club. I am responsible for booking musical entertainment, renting things like bounce houses, and assisting with the marketing of the events. I also audit member accounts to make sure members were charged appropriately for attending the event.

The job at Panda Express consisted of interfacing with POS computers, delivering satisfactory customer service both face to face and in the drive-thru, serving food, maintaining cleanliness in the store and assisting my fellow employees with their tasks and making corrections when needed. Everyday duties consisted of handling cash, counting drawers when opening or closing them, dishing out food in correct portions and helping the customer in the best way possible. I was also trained to interface with the safe and properly account for all funds in both doors of the safe. I had admin codes to the cash registers, codes to open the safe and codes to arm and disarm the store security system.

The serving position at Cracker Barrel entailed operating computers to input orders, taking orders, communication via phone with guests and coordination with fellow employees. Typical tasks of a server included bussing and cleaning tables, sweeping up their section at the end of the night and performing closing duties like restocking things at the tables like sauces and salt and pepper, as well as restocking and cleaning various machines.

The busser position consisted mostly of cleaning tables, assisting the servers in helping the customers, and keeping water glasses full. Another role that is available as a busser is the set-up, teardown and maintenance of the buffet. The buffet required pans filled with water over food grade candles. Part of the responsibilities was replacing food trays when they became empty and making sure each pan had enough water in it to keep the food hot.
