Ian has over 20 years experience in the design and delivery of successful convention and exhibition facilities within Australasia, beginning with the industry-recognised Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in 1993. Since then, Ian has been working with clients across a broad range of delivery models to provide convention and exhibitions centres that present state-of-the-art technology and maximum flexibility within an ever-changing and competitive market. Ian is also recognised for his experience in the successful delivery of hotels and resorts, many of which have been designed to support convention and exhibition markets.Ian is well versed in all aspects of public building procurement and has developed expertise in brief development for the current forums of public delivery models, such as public private partnerships. In addition to his convention, exhibition, hotel and resort experience, Ian has been responsible for the successful delivery of a range of project types including community and cultural, education and workplace. Since 2001 Ian has been responsible for the development of our Malaysian major building projects and has an intimate understanding of how to deliver large scale state and nationally significant projects within the Malaysian context.Ian is a board member of the Architects Registration Board of Victoria and the Australian Institute of Architects Victorian Chapter Large Practice Committee and has been active on various subcommittees appointed from that group. Ian is also currently the national Chair of Cox Architecture.
