Worked on the service desk at BSS answering and logging calls to the service desk offering 1st and 2nd line support. Supporting 400 users accross 5 sites in the UK, some using Windows 7 desk tops and a number using Citrix Wyse Terminals and Desktop Extenders. Supporting Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 to Server 2012, both physical and virtual. Administering the internal Avaya IP office telephone system. Using Windows Deployment Server.

I was the only person in the IT Department, and I basically had to do everything, from Backups, Setting up new hardware, Sourcing and Purchasing, Negotiating Maintenance contracts, setting up construction sites with wireless 3G broadband. GFI Email Archive system, GFI Vipre Antivirus. Also dealing with tennants of the office building and helping with their IT needs.

At Dew Pitchmastic, I was the senior IT Technician in a team of 3 reporting to the IT Manager. We covered all aspects of IT Support from Laptops to Desktops and servers. As the senior technician, I was responsible for travelling around the UK setting up construction sites with broadband connections with vpn.

At the NHS we were assigned jobs from a helpdesk, we had to prioritise our own work, travelling around North, Central and South Manchester supporting clincs, doctors surgery's and Other offices with their IT needs.

I started working at Zetex straight from school. I completed a 4 year apprenticeship with day release to Oldham College studying towards a BTec National Certificate In electronic engineering. In 1996 at Zetex, my role changed and I moved into the IT Department supporting the telephone system overseeing structured cabling, supporting approximately 700 users in 4 countires. I was also fortunate to travel to the New York office and replace their network with upgraded hardware.
