Consulting for a variety of fire and security businesses.

My primary responsibility is to develop new business to ensure the growth and progress of the company. In order to achieve this, my duties and responsbilities include:1. Proactive and reactive response to clients and their needs bringing new work into the company.2. Analysis of management reports to ensure that the company is making adequate profits.3. Taking ultimate responsibility for health, safety and welfare of the staff.4. Maintaining healthy relationships with existing clients by nurturing the relationships5. Recruitment of new staff. Retention and development of all staff.6. Reporting to the board of directors on all vital information on the company's overall performance.7. Day to day financial control of the business including: development of the business in line with stated objectives; payment of staff and suppliers; adherence to requisite VAT, PAYE & NI Legislation.8. Determining the Company Policies with regards to: Quality, Health & Safety, the Environment and ensuring that these are all communicated and understood.

Having gained experience in all areas of the business during the graduate management trainee programme, I then accepted the role of Business Development Manager. The change in role provided me with greater responsibilty within the company.Selected responsibilities include:1. Responsible for acquisitions: conducting analysis, preparing investment appraisals and identifying synergies and areas for significant cost savings.2. Business planning for the future including forecasting and evaluation of previous years.3. Responsible for meeting sales goals and overall quality of service.4. Responsible for fleet management.5. Introduced new marketing strategies to realise and achieve greater sales.6. Organised events such as golf days for clients and contractors to develop relationships and potential B2B sales.7. Managing members of sales which required: encouraging commitment, managing with confidence, managing staff development, employment law, managing discipline, grievances & absence & business development.

I joined Amalgamated Ltd in August 2011 after graduating from the University of Manchester having achieved a 2:1 Graded Bachelor of Arts with Honours in German & Business & Management.Having previously spent time working at Amalgamated, I am experienced in the installation and maintenance of Fire Alarm and Detection systems and Security Systems and am also a BAFE certified Fire Extinguisher Technician.Since my full time employment, I have been and am continuing to follow a broad and structured training schedule whilst being mentored by our non-executive Chairman, Allan Littler.I have already achieved IOSH accredited training in Managing Safely and have become a fully competent design engineer for Fire Alarm & Detection Systems and Emergency lighting systems. I am currently enrolled on a Management Development Programme having successfully completed the Supervisory stages in 2012.Having completed sales training and acquired high grades in theories such as HR and Marketing at University, I have proven my versatility and am readily willing to apply myself to all areas within Amalgamated.

My initial role at Amalgamated Ltd involved the regular maintenance and servicing of Fire Alarm and Security Systems. This involved working on a number of systems allowing me to obtain vast amounts of knowledge and experience when using a large variety of systems.I was involved in a major installation at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust which involved the upgrading of the Radiology Unit at a site with a large network of panels. As this role is customer facing, I developed my communication and interpersonal skills through regular site visits and numerous on site meetings. Time management was also of great importance as, due to the nature of the site, downtime had to be limited. This involved working through the night when the Xray rooms were not in use and allowed me to thrive when working as a member of a team.
