Teacher of Geography and Citizenship from KS3 to KS4. Participated in the delivery of the AQA curriculum for Geography fieldwork and classroom learning requirements. Developed new and existing classroom resources to allow easier access to learning for all students, this therefore involved using SEND registers to inform good teaching practice choices. Responsible for marking of assessments and tracking student progress following school policy requirements, these details to which assisted regular reports of grades and student progress. The school is rated 'Inadequate' by Ofsted and I developed key skill development in behaviour management with extremely challenging behaviour situations. Furthermore, I became experienced in using positive student-teacher relationships to facilitate student engagement in their learning, taking a proactive and positive approach to my students wellbeing.The role involved planning and delivering KS4 fieldwork as part of a small team in a safe yet challenging manner. Regular use of AQA guidelines, specification and advice to facilitate these learning experiences. Moreover, these same AQA resources were used and understood in depth to ensure teaching for GCSE complied with the necessary teaching requirements for students. To this end, a range of AfL techniques and resources were researched to support the specification.Year 7 form tutor who took a detailed and empathetic interest in the form's development as individuals and as academic students. Made regular contact home with children's parents (both positive and requiring intervention) and attended meetings with parents to discuss their child's school experience and how this can become positive. This extended to include contact, through various forms, with student's parents from across all classes and finding creative solutions to support student's engagement and positive behaviour; to which there were several successful cases.
