I am an Advanced Craftsman working at RWE Ferrybridge Workshops with 24 years experience in the maintenance and refurbishing of Steam and Gas turbines including blade removal and repair and full de-stacks of Gas turbine rotors. I am also experienced in strip down, repair and fault diagnosis on various gear boxes, pumps and valves.As an Advanced Craftsman I have managed a number of working teams, leading projects on the shop floor and supervising/training other craftsmen in their duties. I have been heavily involved in major projects including developing new technologies in turbine refurbishment and maintenance. I have supervised workshop, outage and contracting staff and when necessary led teams on site work activities. As part of the supervisory role I have undertaken in project working, I adhere to the delivery of set productivity targets, within the boundaries of cost, quality and schedule, whilst ensuring a pro-active approach to health and safety.
