I specialise in pavement management and pavement engineering. I am also an expert on using non-destructive (FWD) and in-situ testing methods, in terms of pavement structural capacity analyses and mechanistic-empirical design methods. Over the course of my 35-year career, I’ve travelled to many countries – an invaluable experience that has allowed me to become familiar with a wide range of pavement design guidelines and approaches, both for roads and airports. Likewise, I know how to apply the appropriate design technology, to maintain and design road networks, airports, and industrial pavements. To broaden my knowledge I have enrolled for a research MPhil at the University of Queensland on the sustainability design of unsealed (gravel) road pavements.In the last six years, I’ve worked extensively with the Australian Department of Defence, the Brisbane Airports Company, and a number of State Road Agencies in Australia and in New Zealand.Last but not the least, I’ve authored and co-authored more than 45 technical papers, and a chapter in a highway engineering handbook.
