Current- Prepares proposal calls and tenders including the preparation of terms of reference, preliminary work plans, technical specifications, and reports to Council.- Responsible for drawing design and preparation as well as cost estimates for capital and operating budgets and tendering purposes.- Ensures effective project management, contract administration and inspections for various engineered infrastructure including roads, bridges, sidewalks, water, wastewater and stormwater… Show more - Prepares proposal calls and tenders including the preparation of terms of reference, preliminary work plans, technical specifications, and reports to Council.- Responsible for drawing design and preparation as well as cost estimates for capital and operating budgets and tendering purposes.- Ensures effective project management, contract administration and inspections for various engineered infrastructure including roads, bridges, sidewalks, water, wastewater and stormwater capital and operating projects, as required.- Negotiates and resolves issues, disputes, and financial claims with consultants and contractors.- Assists with the utility municipal consent process.- As required, coordinates and/or participates in long range infrastructure and other infrastructure planning studies to identify community transportation, water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure needs.- Assists in the preparation of road, bridge, water and wastewater grant applications through the provision of technical and engineering information throughout the grant application process.-As required, is involved with the maintenance of road, bridge, sidewalk, water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure inventories. - Investigates and responds to traffic complaints, resident concerns, and resolves general deficiencies in the overall transportation network.- Oversee, schedule, monitor, and maintain the Township's annual traffic count program.- Conduct neighbourhood traffic management review through public process, including facilitating public open houses and reports to Council. - Analyze motor vehicle collision information to determine possible deficiencies in the roadway network and initiate remedial action.- Assists other engineering staff with AutoDesk and ESRI.- Provides engineering information to consultants, Council, other Government agencies, staff and the private sector.- Conducts research as directed by the Manager of Engineering.
