I am a partner in the firm’s Financial Restructuring and Insolvency group in London, with more than 15 years of experience of advising clients in complex international restructuring situations. My practice focuses on businesses in financial difficulty, advising debtor-side corporates and financial sponsors as well as a wide range of sophisticated creditors including banks, funds and noteholders.In addition, I regularly advise directors, insolvency practitioners and other stakeholders on UK and international aspects of debt restructuring transactions.

Advising clients on complex and high value restructuring solutions in the UK and worldwide, including:Creditor-side restructuring: advising banks, hedge funds and private equity clients on bilateral and syndicated debt restructurings, including negotiation of complex restructuring settlements, standstills/lock-ups and finance documents. Borrower-side restructuring: advising large corporate clients on cross-border balance sheet restructurings and all areas of stakeholder management, directors' duties, negotiations with lenders, credit insurers, pension trustees etc. Funds advisory: advising hedge fund and private equity clients on portfolio acquisitions, restructuring of portfolio companies, and general sponsor-side issues including negotiation of shareholder agreements, preparation of management incentive plans, intercreditor agreements etc.Insolvency advisory: advising companies, lenders and insolvency practitioners on UK insolvency proceedings including administrations, liquidations and receiverships. Financial institutions: advising financial institutions on their obligations and challenges under the developing client money/client asset and bank resolution and recovery regimes.
