Provide technical expertise and guidance in the design, installation and management of multiple SAN sites as a Consultant to HP professional Services. Configure and certify Enterprise SANs at various client sites consisting of EVA, MSA, ESL and MSL storage solutions and support software associated with the SAN (Pathing, SAN Management, Switch Management, Tape Management and Backup). Configure and Zone SAN switches (CISCO, Brocade and MCData). Configure HBA's on various OS's to allow storage to be presented to them. Provide diagnostic and troubleshooting as needed at client sites. Provide knowledge transfer to IT personnel in the management and support of there SAN solution. Provide detailed documentation sets to clients using various software tools. Provide support and guidance to junior team members.

As part of the High Performance Systems and Storage Center of Excellence (HPS-COE) I was responsible for the architecting of client solutions based upon provided requirements. These solutions would include, but not be limited to:Storage Area NetworksBackup and Recovery Network Attached StorageDisaster Recovery Solutions

Engagements ranged from EDI Project management/System Administration, Architecting, to data and server migrations. A large part of our focus was not only the engagement itself, but also the turnover of the project including documentation and knowledge transfer.Performed numerous on-site security assessments and evaluations.Performed numerous pre-site evaluations as well as pre-sales expertise.Designed and integrated Highly Available UNIX server clusters.Designed proof of concept testing environments and evaluation scenarios for Highly Available clusters and data migration.Contracted to EMC to serve as a technical project manager for data migration and remote data storage projects.Engineered new SAN environments and created JBOD to SAN migration procedures.

Over a period of five years, my position grew from a junior level UNIX administrator, to a Systems Engineer and Team Leader over 9 administrators, supporting over 23 projects. My team supported over 500 servers and thousands of workstations.Installed and configured various systems based on the UNIX environment. Established and monitored backup schedules. Coordinated support between 1st level and 2nd level on both development and operations sides. Participated in special projects as needed.Major achievements

Configured and built PC compatible systems to support churches within the St. Petersburg diocese. Duties also included the building and repair of systems for retail customers.

During my duties at GS of Tampa, I established regular maintenance schedules for the 6 sites that I supported within the state of Florida.Trained on-site personnel in basic troubleshooting techniques.Installed and configured NetWare LANs including running cables and setting up of workstations for digital image previews of photos taken in studios as well as Point of Sale system. This work was performed in 3 sites from scratch, and I upgraded 3 other sites to full network access. The networks consisted of a minimum of 2 imaging workstations, 4 preview stations and POS system, all connected via CAT5 to a dedicated NetWare 3.11 server.
