Conduct analysis of raw materials and finished products in the manufacture of Cold Pressed and Solvent Extracted oils, using a variety of techniques including Soxhlet Extraction, HS/GC FID, HS/GC MS and wet chemistry.Analyse new raw materials to determine their characteristics in relation to company process capabilities and support new business development.Prepare and dispatch samples as requested, maintain stock levels of laboratory consumables and prepare certificates of analysis.

Perform analysis on a wide range of pharmaceutical raw materials and final products by means of various techniques including wet chemistry, spectroscopy, GC and HPLC and others, working to GMP standards at all times.Carry out calibration and validation of laboratory equipment, and inform management when deviations occur.Investigate OOS results, creating incident reports and performing hypothesis testing to identify root causes.

Analysed samples of petrochemical products by means of microcoulometry, GC, UV, ICP, DMA and other traditional test techniques. Worked to UKAS accreditation using ASTM, ISO, IP and other SOPs.Inspected chemical tankers prior to loading of product, and subsequent analysis before despatch.

Responsible for the in-process controlling of latex and lithene grades and testing of finished tankers and drums before despatch.Carried out calibration and maintenance of analytical equipment across the site.Implemented new test methods and trained all new members of staff.Worked closely with plant management and provided advice on technical issues.
