Available to lead the development of a far more effective and efficient vehicle performance toolset and process than has been developed so far in motorsport (after discussion with other individual subject matter experts), that can then be used to help move the team (particularly in F1) up the grid. 30+ years of developments in this area in F1 has provided me with a unique set of insights and ideas to develop this approach, with the innovative part being how improvements in all areas the whole development process is integrated across the team.

Worked on a range of projects part time whilst receiving health treatment:1. Developing a state of the art approach to developing vehicle performance based on 30+ years experience in F1. The toolset and process is believed to be better than any at any current motorsports teams (after discussion with individual subject matter experts) with the innovative part being how the whole system is integrated.2. Developed a measurement approach to enable a Google Camera Van approach to be used to measure useful data to better understand housing insulation levels.3. Continued to research actual viable insulation techniques and measured effectiveness on own house in summer and winter.4. Researched a range of audio isolation techniques to develop DIY systems for improving sound quality and isolation from external inputs.

Led the Vehicle Performance Team to help turn around performance of the Sauber F1 team through leading improvements in performance tools and their application. Led the development and application of Anthony Best Dynamics Simulator to improve vehicle performance predictive accuracy.

Led the development of the Chevrolet Driver In the Loop Simulator that was used by Chevrolet motorsports teams in NASCAR, IndyCar and Corvette race team. The simulator quickly became an integral part of all Chevrolet motorsports teams pre race preparation and longer term race car performance development.

Led the development of the vehicle performance concept with another senior vehicle dynamicist at Mercedes F1 that helped move Mercedes from a distant 5th in 2012, to a competitive 2nd in 2013 and a series of championship wins starting in 2014. Started as Senior Engineer developing vehicle dyamics modelling software and analysis techniques when company was British American Racing. Became Chief Engineer: Vehicle Dynamics, when the company was owned by Honda and then Brawn GP. Then became the Head of Engineering Software, leading the department to develop decision influencing software (maths models + analytical) for use by the engineering team at Mercedes F1.

Led the development of new analytical techniques that identified the key problems at McLaren in 1996 and 1997 and helped change the way vehicle performance was developed with the outcome of winning the world championship in 1998 and being competitive for many years after that. Introduced the use of vehicle performance simulation tools at McLaren in 1990.Responsible for:1. Vehicle Performance Simulation and Analysis Toolset Development. 2. Competitor comparison technique development.

Responsible for flight testing radar systems.

Responsible for simulating radar systems.
