Engineering Clerk
CurrentWork involves receiving, researching, and responding to inquiries concerning city infrastructure that is overseen by the Engineering and Capital Improvements Department; and assisting in the maintenance of a centralized departmental records management system that handles engineering records, correspondences, contracts, plan specifications, drawings, maps, atlas sheets, and plat files. Work includes handling inquiries with respect to technical engineering information; performing various clerical duties including the maintenance, security, and retrieval of official engineering related records and reports; maintaining historical data used to monitor and document various engineering permit activities; researching and reviewing engineering plans, specifications and related technical data; and significant contact with customers, City employees, utility companies, regulatory agencies, other governmental agencies, business owners, and the general public; and maintaining department supplies.
