I advise hedge funds, fund managers and investment firms doing business in France.A partner in our Paris office, I lead the French asset management practice; helping clients obtain their licence from the AMF as a regulated investment manager or their ACPR licence as an investment firm. We have also launched a number of French and offshore funds for our clients. In addition to advising on regulatory matters for investment firms and investment managers, I help clients set up French branches of AIFMs, UCITS management companies and investment firms, and comply with their ongoing obligations (including their reporting obligations as investors in listed companies). I chair the firm's international exchange traded-fund practice and advise clients on listings on Euronext and the London Stock Exchange.I created our reporting unit to help investors comply with disclosure obligations (triggered by EU and local rules) that require disclosure of long and short positions, including during takeover periods.I joined the Simmons & Simmons London office in 2000, and in 2004 moved to our Paris office where I subsequently took over responsibility for the French asset management practice.
