During my time at Copygraphic, I took the transition from IT Operations into Development.My starting point was joining the Operations and support team, managing the Data General MV20000 and the migration to HP3000's, as part of this I took on the role of Operations shift leader.Soon after this I took the opportunity to move into a development role using the Cognos Powerhouse toolset.Some of the projects I was involved in were the Implementation of a new warehouse and distribution system called SFD and the implementation of CODA IAS financials, I played a key role in the integration of these two systems using a combination of Powerhouse and Cobol.During my time on the development team I took a lead role on the development of a Customer Contract system to replace the core system provided as part of the SFD implementation, this gave the users all the required information to manage client accounts more efficiently.
