As the Chief Financial Officer at Skopos Financial, LLC, I am responsible for the Accounting and Finance departments, which I built from scratch at the inception of the Company.Here are some highlights and activities:Built all Finance and Accounting functions for start-up specialty finance company - Utilized third party accounting firm to outsource non-core accounting functions (AP, GL, Fixed Assets) during ramp-up and managed all audit, compliance and tax reporting including all technical accounting areas including allowance for loan losses, troubled-debt restructurings and goodwill analysis.Negotiated 4 senior credit lines totaling $215MM in senior debt; managed borrowing bases and compliance reporting for all facilities and executed two securitizations totaling $300MM in debt (approximately $360MM of assets securitized); managed monthly compliance and certificate process.Developed daily cash management and treasury functions for managing cash and directing operations on strategies to maintain liquidity and covenants with senior lenders.

Responsible for all financial forecasting, budgeting and analytics for Software as a Service (SaaS) based educational software company. Company was sold to Plato Learning in May of 2012.Highlights:Created a monthly forecast and rolling forecast approach using Microsoft Forecaster and FRx to project quarterly and full year earnings for public markets. Increased forecast accuracy substantially and helped establish credibility with analysts covering the company's stock. Reduced annual budgeting cycle by 6 weeks, while working simultaneously on the sale of the company.Developed a five-year plan used in the due diligence process related to the sale of the company. Worked closely with the CEO, CFO and COO in presenting the company's outlook and financial strategy to interested parties. Key liaison for financial due diligence teams and investment banking firms during the sale process.

Plexus Advisors, LLC was a professional services firm I founded specializing in advising banks, private equity firms and family offices on the acquisition of failed banks from the FDIC. Advised clients on transactions including accounting, banking strategy, acquisitions, operational and financial information systems, and financial management.

Responsibilities include:Project Management - Developed a budgeting system and approach from scratch for an $8 billion entity. Worked extensively with Great Plains, FRx and Microsoft Forecaster to develop a budget and rolling-forecast approach. Tasks included converting the chart of accounts for four entities, redesigning Executive Management and Regulatory reports, opening new cost centers, and assigning ownership and employees to new cost centers.FDIC Failed Bank Acquisitions - lead a team of financial analysts responsible for preparing bids for failing financial institutions. Created a three-year financial model used in obtaining regulatory approval and developed a system and approach for analyzing a failing institution for an optimal bid.Financial Management - responsible for preparing and presenting due diligence, strategic planning, and other finanical requests from existing lender group and other prospective financing sources for Beal Financial Corporation (BFC).Rating Agency Relationship Management - responsible for preparing and presenting BFC to rating agencies (S&P and Fitch) in effort to obtain investment grade ratings at two separately rated financial institutions and the parent company.

Appointed interim-CEO of a start-up captive mortgage servicing company. Helped lead initiatives to convert mortgage servicing platforms as well as structure the organization for loan servicing growth. Negotiated contracts with software providers and sub-servicing agreements with third party servicers.
