I'm a writer. I write other people's stories rather than my own, because I believe the people who surround me are more interesting than anything I could ever invent. I write about games because I think they're vehicles for stories and experiences that we can all share.I hold a bachelor's degree in journalism and completed the Defense Information School's basic public affairs specialist course at Fort Meade, Maryland. I also hold a master's degree in political science, with a focus on American politics.I've worked as an reporter covering police and city government at a daily newspaper, as the editor of the 2nd Infantry Division's command information newspaper "The Indianhead," and in various capacities at Fort Knox's award-winning "Turret," including as sports editor, staff writer, photographer, and layout editor.I've been a contractor with the U.S. EPA's Office of Research and Development to produce communications products that explain the complexities of exposure science and integrated transdisciplinary research to the general public, research stakeholders, and policymakers. Products include fact sheets, web content, feature stories, stories for industry publications, and press releases.I hope to use my writing experience and expertise to secure an opportunity to take on more advanced and creative assignments and challenges.
