I contribute to the design process and implement needed engineering change orders by collaborating with production workers to improve designs. I create and edit 3D models and engineering drawings in CATIA to communicate the design to suppliers and production workers, and I get to see my work implemented on the production floor. In my time here, I've contributed to several milestones for the Caltrain EMU project, including collaborating with other engineers on preliminary designs for the Caltrain BEMU (battery-electric multiple unit).I have also created an internal guideline for engineering drawings based off of ISO GPS standards to ensure that Stadler US's engineering department can consistently produce high-quality drawings for our designs.

I worked on a team of product development engineers that was developing a novel venous access device. In my time here, I collaborated with these engineers to design and evaluate new test methods for this product, operated testing equipment (Instron material testers) and used SolidWorks to design and 3D print test fixtures. I redesigned and built a vascular phantom to simulate arterial and venous blood flow which has been used in multiple human factors evaluations, and I presented this design to BD associates at a location-wide event.

I worked with first-year students to help them through the transition into college life. I meet with students one-on-one monthly to discuss topics like personal goals, class registration, campus involvement, and overall well-being. Our mission was to help students fulfill their potential.I was promoted to the role of mentor coordinator; in this role, I trained mentors by meeting with them one-on-one and preparing workshops and presentations for team meetings.

I developed a MATLAB script that computes the spring stiffness of a runner according to a mass-spring model.I also performed other lab duties like setting up lab equipment, collecting and processing data, and preparing participants for data collection.
