I am a trial lawyer representing healthcare providers, news media, and other businesses in complex litigation. Drawing on more than a decade of experience and industry knowledge, I help my clients develop practical and efficient strategies to protect their interests and resolve their disputes.A large part of my practice is devoted to the highly-regulated healthcare industry, where I represent hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare providers across the country in virtually all types of healthcare litigation, including reimbursement litigation against health insurance companies and other payors, contract disputes, restrictive covenant litigation, and peer review and medical staff privileging matters. I also have a significant media litigation practice in which I help news media and other content providers protect their First Amendment rights to gather and report the news, both by bringing actions to enforce the media’s right of access to public records and court proceedings, and by defending the media against privacy and defamation claims. While my practice focuses on healthcare and media litigation, I also represent clients ranging from individuals to large international companies in a wide variety of other complex business litigation, including commercial contract disputes, business torts, commercial real estate disputes, and claims under the federal False Claims Act.
