Amtech is the UK market leading manufacturer of specialist software for the building services industry.Primary responsibilities are the design of several of the key software applications provided: * Design of the various areas of the new Amtech XG Estimating Application which brings together functionality of several existing products into a new framework and single database structure. * Design of the new improvements to the Service Manager 2014 Application which introduced key new features required by customers and the industry in general * Design and Project Management of the financial SEPA integration into the Extreme and Enterprise Accounting Applications * Design of the Onsite Requisitions Application which allows the ordering of items between the "Luckins" pricing database and the Procurement applicationsAn AGILE approach is taken towards design and development and all areas of the business are involved.My main tasks have been the design of new or improved features in the applications and to liaise between product champions, customers, developers and SQA team to ensure that tasks are completed to requirements. I have also taken Project Lead on applications which has involved learning new management techniques and reporting standards/methods as per Amtech requirements.Amtech are currently investing in new and exciting products for the customer base and it is a great and rewarding challenge to be working for the company at this time.

Identify and work with all levels of the business to seek business systems improvement especially with regard to the Syteline ERP product. All valid projects would be designed, specified and developed with myself being lead of many of those projects and sole contact to users and suppliers of any none-internal source products/resource.Was key member of the Infor10 upgrade project in which I single handedly performed in depth data cleansing and converting of data from a Progress 4GL platform into an SQL Server environment. I Successfully migrated data into a new SQL Server application with over 40GB of business critical data. This was a major project moving from one database application into a complete new environment. I was involved and lead in most aspects of this project, from specifying the hardware requirements, the business and application structure as well as the underlying data and system application.Also key in introducing and maintaining the Cognos appplication and business intelligence throughout the company.
