As Area Architect for Digital Distribution I drive design, implementation and quality of DD owned services used to allow 3rd party integrators to rate, quote and bind insurance on the Coalition platform. I am responsible for bringing clarity to requirements that can often be ambiguous and enabling members from all teams working on a project to execute.

- Designed and built a "backend for frontend" GraphQL gateway service that underpins all Coalition front-end applications. It aggregates internal REST and gRPC service APIs, and ensures full type safety from internal services through the GQL layer and out to clients by leveraging extensive code generation.- Designed and built a partner-facing API that.

• Built out our custom React component library to specifications provided by our design team.
• Retrofitted our broker dashboard with Contentful CMS in order to provide non-technical marketing staff with a way to update documents and links and events without making code changes.
• Owned the maintenance of our marketing site and blog frontend responsibilities in their entirety.

Hired on contract to build the Coalition marketing site. I was able to leverage the success of this project to earn a full-time position with the company.The project was a single-page application built in Typescript using React and leveraging Contentful, a headless CMS to deliver internationalized content for pages.

BCITA certified Low Voltage Technician and Class C-R FSR. Managed large commercial and industrial design, installation and service jobs in the security industry.Work included ULC fire, security alarm, access control, cameras, visual verification, networking and structured cabling.
