I’m a Pensions Technical Consultant, with over 36 years’ experience within the financial services industry.I started out working for Midland Bank in 1988 helping clients with their banking needs before becoming the trusted adviser and Relationship Manager for a portfolio of High Net worth clients at HSBC for 17 years, where I obtained my qualifications and broadened my knowledge to include investments, pensions, inheritance tax planning and protection. I have since broadened my knowledge further within the corporate advice arena by successfully managing and advising corporate clients in relation to their employer benefits with Alexander Bates Campbell. I care deeply about helping clients. i will not let change get in the way of achieving that. This was recognised in 2020 when I worked at a fast pace to learn new ways of working from home remotely to help clients with all their financial planning needs, by being caring and customer focused. This lead to me being awarded a HSBC national high achievement 'spotlight award'. I have continued to study to broaden my knowledge and in 2021 I completed mortgage advice, long term care insurance and Equity release CII qualifications before working as an adviser with Quilter Financial Advisers, before moving to work with AFH and then Alexander Bates Campbell as an independent Financial Adviser. My approach to financial advice was always to provide the very best experience for all my clients. Helping others, hard working and making a difference to peoples life's is at the heart of who I am. I value each client's individuality and worked very closely to get to know them and to create a plan which was bespoke to them. I am extremely passionate about helping clients and their families achieve their financial aspirations. This was recognised in 2020 when a client wrote a letter of praise to the HSBC CEO , advising how I had helped them with their estate planning, and that I was reliable, approachable, trustworthy, very committed, I had gone above and beyond and was an asset to HSBC.I specialised in offering expert advice in a wide range of areas, including retirement planning, inheritance tax planning, long term care, equity release, personal protection planning for clients and their families as well as investments and advice for corporate clients in relation to their employer benefits.Outside of work, I enjoy running, walking, gardening, watching cricket and spending time with my family and friends. As well as holidays within the UK and abroad with my partner.
