I have worked in pharmaceutical process, engineering and business/commercial management positions for the last 30 years and have wide international experience in pharmaceutical product development and manufacturing. I focus on helping Vertas clients with strategic product assessments and leading product devlopment projects. I have a diverse background in solid oral, semi solid product processing/manufacturing, process technologies, medical devices, quality systems, regulatory requirements and project management. I have been part of the management teams for the design, construction and operation of four FDA approved manufacturing facilities in three different countries, as well as led teams supporting all aspects of new product development to commercial launch within numerous others companies worldwide. The comprehensive hands on experience I have and continue to obtain, supports the technical projects, business strategy approaches and customer quality issues I work to help solve, in addition to providing background for the training I deliver. Having also managed a multi-million dollar pharmaceutical supplier group, served on three company boards, in/out licensed products and negotiated international license and commercial contracts, I have gained a breadth of experience that allows me to provide a somewhat unique aspect in assisting with a company’s technological requirements and/or strategic business growth. I have presented and published internationally on a variety of processing methodologies and I am now or have been a member of the IChemE, ISPE, IITT and AAPS, for which I served on the ‘Solid Oral Dosage Forms’ conference organization committee. I am a Board Member of the LPI, past Board Member of the PPMA and have Board advisory poistions with a number of Companies.
