Mechanical Engineer with experience in project management, field operations, troubleshooting, design, gas systems (incl. oxygen), cryogenic systems and hobbies that include 3d printing, programming and surfing.Aside from my Engineering I really enjoy learning about geology (and have a BSc in it) and find it rewarding when all the pieces of a puzzle come together to explain why we are seeing a landscape as it is. I also enjoy using GIS to explore geologic and geographic data to find things that aren't always apparent at first.In programming I enjoy the problem solving challenges associated with it, and find it rewarding applying the knowledge from my studies (GDipSci with Distinction) to real work problems. I dabbled with app development in the past and had one in the Google play store for several years.I have a huge interest in deep sea and underwater technology (ROVs, AUVs, diving equipment etc.) and follow developments in the area closely. I enjoy learning about engineering in this area and finding ways relate it to my current area of work and improve my general engineering skills and knowhow. In my spare time I am an avid surfer, diver, DIYer and tinkerer.
