Research-oriented, data-driven aspiring leader with intention of finding novel, effective, statistically significant solutions to organizational issues. Experience with initiating and facilitating forward-thinking ideas in operational and academic research settings.I am a Master's of Healthcare Administration candidate at the University of Utah with a special interest in hospital error procedures and population health. My interests stem from the convergence of two areas of my professional background. I completed a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Operations Management and Supervision at the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business graduating magna cum laude. This led me to work with a large healthcare organization where I managed the data analytics of the physician-contracting department. This included data organization as well as decision support via queries and dashboard building as well as monitoring process metrics and assisting to improve said metrics with new ideas. My interest also stems from my education in Frankfurt, Germany. I recently completed a Master’s in Business Research and Analytics at the Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. My emphasis of research is in the realm of organizational behavior with particular interests in political skill, leadership, error management, and emotion at work. I am the co-author of a paper discussing the effects of an individual’s political skill level and their subsequent assessment of their leaders. The paper is currently targeted for the journal Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. My desire to ultimately do something good and improve lives brought me back to healthcare. These two areas, operational processes/data analytics and organizational behavior, come together in a desire to help better healthcare organizations understand their people and use said understanding to fulfill organizational objectives. My skills include strong critical thinking, cooperative decision-making, and focusing on data-driven outcomes. I have executed projects the incorporated several departments across a large organization. I am an avid golfer who recently got into running. I completed my first half-marathon in isolation during the worldwide-shared experience of social distancing. The finish included no fanfare, However, I am committed to finishing a half-marathon to much more applause in the future. I spend most free time with family and loved ones, which includes enjoying any and all new restaurants and taking in the city in which we live.
