I’m a product designer/engineer with product development experience spanning consumer, industrial and medical/healthcare sectors. I have a very broad and rounded skill-set having gained extensive experience on a wide variety of projects over the years from design research briefs undertaking user studies across Europe and the US to more typical engineering activities designing and detailing products for volume manufacture. As a result, I possess a balanced range of both creative and technical abilities that span the development process in areas that include:- qualitative stakeholder research;- scenario generation and storytelling;- idea generation;- concept design & development;- physical proof-of-concept feasibility;- product visualisation;- engineering development;- validation and verification testing;- Design for Assembly & Manufacture (DFMA);- material specification and selection;- production sourcing & manufacturing liaison;- BoM management and change control;- 2D and 3D CAD (principally Solidworks); and- project planning and management.
