My role was to increase the profitability of our branch within Dorset, I was brought in to the company for a new role where I was to establish and maintain an account base, I accomplished this by cold calling sessions, online activity and sector targeted strategies, this would involve working with suppliers to promote and demonstrate their products to new and existing customers. I was also given the task of overhauling the trade counter to make it more customer focused, to achieve this I remerchandised the trade counter, I introduced a customer feedback form, to gain details of new potential business, organised weekly training for the internal sales staff to better understand products and to gain the confidence to up sell and cross sell items and to be able to ask effective questions to optimise any sales potential.
