I work within the Greater Manchester Investment Fund at GMCA. The Fund is split between Business funding (c£65m available) and Housing funding (c£300m available). Each fund provides finance to businesses and house builders throughout Greater Manchester to help the region become a greener, more prosperous and fairer place for all.Finance is provided through equity investments, the provision of senior debt finance and mezzanine lending positions. Each application is reviewed on its merits, and the Fund is designed to take a bespoke approach to each situation.My role is to source transactions, assess the strengths and risks of the commercial and financial model of the business and conclude if GMCA can support the investment. I manage applications from initial assessment, the credit committee approval process, legal completion and ongoing relationship with the businesses the Fund supports. This ensures there is deep understanding of the applicant and a fully tailored solution.

This has resulted in financial and operational change, improving business performance and helping financial stakeholders maximise value.I also have experience implementing formal insolvency processes including Administrations, Liquidations and LPA Receiverships in order to recover maximum value from distressed businesses for their stakeholders. I developed a particular specialism dealing with Real Estate assets - including small offices, light industrial units, buy-to-let portfolios and retail parks.
