  A hugely experienced professional in the new homes sector I have worked for Barratt, the UK’s premier new home developer, for 29 years.I have been a director for 18 years – 10 years as construction director and in 2007 I became managing director of Barratt Southampton, a division which covers Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, West Sussex and East Dorset.The division is dual branded – Barratt and David Wilson Homes - and for the past three years the division has produced approx 650/700 units/year.During my time as a director I have been involved in expanding the Barratt business which led to the creation of the South London and Southampton divisions. I have also managed the merger of two businesses involving a large number of complex issues that included a programme of redundancies and the merger of two brands: notably Barratt and David Wilson.I enjoy additional responsibilities in performing regional functions. I have previously chaired, Land, Planning and Construction discipline meetings on a quarterly basis.I have a leadership style that emphasises authenticity, clear sense of purpose, genuine care and investment in capability and an uncompromising approach to service within and outside the company. My proven leadership skills involve managing, developing, and motivating teams to achieve their objectives.Living in the patch, I possess an-depth knowledge of the region, its customers, the competition and economy.I consider myself to be a reliable, hardworking and trustworthy individual. I am a good communicator at all levels and possess a good sense of humour and enjoy meeting people. I function well under pressure and work well both within a team and individually.
