We enable turbine partners to build turbines using those designs such that they can be installed at plants. These turbines reduce permitting effort, and capital expenditure by enabling migratory fish species to safely pass through our turbines unharmed. Our goal is to protect biodiversity while creating carbon free electricity. The TTDS will be fitted with a tidal turbine that will provide power to the Memorial Bridge as well as bridge structure health and estuarine sensors. I have performed a tidal energy resource assessment for this site. I determined the loads on the TTDS due to currents, wind, and waves. I performed my own and assisted in the final structural evaluation of the TTDS which was based on AISC and DNV-GL codes. I then converted that design to shop drawings and assisted in the construction and assembly of the TTDS with external contractors.Project website: livingbridge.unh.edu -
FounderLiquinet Sep 2014 - Sep 2015Our mission is to create networking tools that will empower people around the world to monitor, maintain, and own community water sources. We aim to help NGOs solve community water problems the right way, the first time. Founded the group and turned it over to a group of students at the University of New Hampshire. The group and myself are working to open sourcing the technology and the lessons we learned. -
