TL;DR - The early part of my career was spent in high stress, detail oriented kitchens with customer satisfaction at the forefront. Teaching has given experience with effective skills in presenting information clearly, communication and collaboration with a team, analyzing data to assess necessary changes, and regulatory compliance. New skills in securing networks makes me a valuable team member to have around.The long version:I have worked in the hospitality industry almost my entire working career; starting from fast food positions, then going to culinary school, and eventually leading a team at a high volume convention center in Charleston, SC. These work experiences have allowed me to hone skills in efficiency, teamwork, communication, and overcoming challenges while also being focused in a high stress environment with acute attention to detail required. In 2017, I made a transition to teach Culinary Arts at Fort Dorchester High School in North Charleston, where I overcame new challenges. Some of these challenges include, but are not limited to, public speaking/effective communication, use of information technology tools to convey information clearly, and mastery of data analysis for use in decision making.In 2022, I began a new chapter when I started Cyber Security classes at Georgia Southern University. I have been exposed to Comptia A+, Networking+, and Security+ fundamentals as well as Python programming basics, Certified Ethical Hacking and CYSA+.
