Head Of Ip Services
CurrentInngot helps companies to identify, classify and value their intangible assets. Intangibles include intellectual property (like trademarks, patents and copyright) but also customer lists, websites, reputation and a whole host of other valuable company assets that are usually under or non-valued. By recognising these intangibles as assets a company or University can set up systems to protect and enhance them, determine a fair price to licences them or raise loan or equity based funding against them. One of my roles is to promote the use of the Inngot suite of tools, make companies aware of the system and encouraging them to use it. Other roles centre around intellectual property research, international IP consulting, intellectual property assessment / valuation, and business development. Example projects include: valuation of University Technology including a number of biotech, medical diagnostic and candidate drug assessments; research into the appropriate levels of sanction for digital copyright infringement for the UK Intellectual Property Office (led to publication of Penalty Fair?); consulting for a €3 billion turnover international engineering company assessing and categorising their large portfolio or patents; assisting a Swiss medical research foundation implement a new investment fund and many other projects too numerous to mention. Finally, I regularly deliver the IP training classes.
