I am a doctoral student in the Ph.D. Program in Social Welfare at The CUNY Graduate Center in New York City. My research investigates how organizations adopt, integrate, and decide on technologies and other innovations - and how this affects caring fields such as social work. I also explore philosophical and ethical questions about the role of technology in society, such as how humans find meaning and purpose in an increasingly technological world, and the consequences of defining social problems (and solutions) within computational (data) parameters.I manage my department's messaging strategy, social media, and digital communications. I have a working knowledge of data analysis in R and Python, familiarity with Javascript (including Leaflet and D3.JS), and a broad familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods and designs. I am more qualitative in my general disposition since I often want to understand what a phenomenon is.I am also a New York State licensed social worker with 10+ years of professional experience in administrative, clinical, and academic positions with high-risk and vulnerable populations. My career spans multiple issues and populations. I have worked on multiple technology and software implementation projects where I liaised between technical and non-technical staff, developed staff training protocols, created operational procedures and workflows, and debugged systems. This background draws me to collaborative organizational projects within my current world, academia.I am naturally curious and drawn to big ideas, conceptual thinking, multidisciplinary research, and ambitious intellectual projects. I am passionate about various subjects and philosophical questions. I'm always open to meeting new people, exposure to new ideas, expanding my network, and exploring collaboration opportunities.
