I'm the delivery lead for the School Inclusion Group at the University of Sussex. We help school leaders use insights from social psychology to better understand the barriers to learning that some groups of their students might be facing. For example, some groups might feel that they don't really belong at school, or that they have poorer relationships with their teachers than others.We then help schools develop, implement and evaluate an action plan to tackle these barriers and so improve the attendance, behaviour and attainment of their students.Previously I specialised in helping large organisations define and deliver complex change programmes. I've supported a £200m Department for Education initiative for disadvantaged pupils, and a range of large-scale programmes for FTSE-100 companies including post-acquisition integration and new product rollout.
