The essence here is to respond immediately to aqueous (in particular) and ‘dry’ contamination events in order to stabilise and mediate intakes. Successful interventions minimise the consequences of initial and lifetime doses, and are essential prior to the 'evacuation' of personnel to specialist health physics / medical specialist facilities such as Westinghouse Springfields.• Safety case author for facilities for handling environmental levels of actinides and molten salts (<10 MBq plutonium, neptunium).• Contributor to safety cases for low level (gram quantities) of plutonium isotopes and other actinides.• Assessment of exposures from intakes of radionuclides, in support of Environmental Permitting Regulations applications.• Member of the strategic interest group for small duty holders is to be created with peers from academic institutions (Diamond, Royce, MIDAS-Sheffield) and interested parties (NDA, BEIS, Sellafield) to represent parties bridging the operational gap between civil nuclear and academia.• Collaboration with NNL (safety & security) and Samarkand (security management) on safety cases in line with MNR NS-TAST-GD-051 and NS-TAST-GD-005, time at risk (TAR), SyAPs for small duty holders, HAZOPS, and also with other partners to develop an ERL based REPPIR and generally a management plan that will meet, in a graded and appropriate manner, the 36 ONR nuclear site licence conditions. • Manage IAEA Additional Protocol reporting of qualifying activities for the verification of nuclear safeguards.
