    Future Schools Trust was launched in 2007 when two former secondary schools merged together to become New Line Learning Academy, which then linked with Cornwallis Academy to form a new trust. As head of the H.R function I had overall responsibility for the Trust’s personnel, training and Health & Safety strategy. I contributed to the over–arching strategy and policy making by advising the CEO and Governors on the human resource implications of its decisions. I am responsible for the effective management of ER cases across the Trust ensuring cases are progressed in a timely manner, in line with Trust policies and procedures. I am aslo responsible for the development and implementation of the annual HR strategy in line with the Trust business plan. I review, update, create and manage Trusts policies and procedures to ensure they are legally compliant. I provide information to the CEO and Head Teachers, offering strategies to support Schools and Trust. I am responsible for ensuring that all contracts with external bodies offer the Trust value for money, are effective and support the Trust business plan. I have responsibility for delivering appropriate HR soft skills training to meet the needs of staff throughout the Trust. I work with trade unions (NUT/NASUWT/NAHT) to consult on policy and procedure changes as well as delivering a strategy to engage staff and schools with trade unions.
