• Led Integrated Tax Compliance Project for indirect tax while on-site in; Chile, South Africa and Russia. Project led to full indirect tax automation.• Responsible for the entire process around a new in-house tax compliance/tax engine system which will automate changes to tax decision making in tax relevant systems.• Responsible for the provision of advice, guidance and support as part of Indirect Tax Centre of Expertise for 32 countries including key markets in; UK, Australia, Nigeria, Philippines, Russia and South Africa.• Also responsible for VAT risk mitigation in above countries and through analysis and planning has reduced potential exposure by USD $50m.• Created tax mitigation plans for some of the most common/likely risks within the business globally in order for local tax to have guidance.• Centre of Excellence responsibility for M&A/Structure activity as well as Contract Signing & Policy.• Created Global Indirect Tax News format and process for central delivery of relevant indirect tax news items to members of indirect tax in all countries.• Coordinating Indirect Tax input and response to global Transfer Pricing project in relation to VAT fixed establishment risk of parent company.

Responsible for the indirect tax advisory and compliance function over 17 European countries including; the UK, France, Germany and Italy.I have led a recent project to refresh the tax logic and data in SAP and this has successfully gone live resulting in more accurate tax reporting and the ability to analyse tax data more easily in order to correct any errors which could occur.Currently advising on structural changes to the business and liaising with various EU tax authorities in relation to audits and refund claims.
