About Ian Kane

I am the Head of Partnerships for Midnight Network, a layer 1 blockchain protocol launched by IOHK. Midnight was designed to safeguard commercial and personal data in a regulatory-compliant way using zksnarks. Previously I was the CEO & Co-Founder of Unbanked, a fintech platform providing white-label card issuance and program management to Web3 companies - serving customers in 150 countries and employing 70 team members across 10 timezones. I'm passionate about digital assets and have first-hand experience launching and operating a blockchain-based fintech company for over 6 years while reaching $20m in annual revenue. My background is in operations, marketing, business development, strategy, and sales. I've had the opportunity to work in both early-stage and mature organizations, be a part of acquisitions on the buy and sell side, and drive go-to-market strategy for various data and media products.I am currently serving as an advisor to several Web3 startups that address Artificial Intelligence, DeFi analytics, and payments in Web3. I'm also published in Newsweek, CoinTelegraph, Business Journals, and more. Before venturing into Web3 I spent 10+ years in the adtech industry. My entrepreneurial journey, combined with my early interest in digital assets, has led to a strong belief in the transformative potential of blockchain across different industries.
