About Ian Callaghan

I bring over 35 years of expertise in banking and finance, the last 20 as a leading practitioner in the development of impact investing, including fundraising and corporate finance advisory in sustainable finance in emerging markets.My main work at present centres around the UK Government’s Climate Finance Accelerator, of which I am the co-founder. This TA programme, working with 9 middle income countries, is just coming to the end of its first 4-year phase, during which it has helped to mobilise nearly $400 million. Phase 2 will begin in 2025 and address climate finance needs in at least 16 countries.
