I come from a background in radio, starting in community radio at high school in Wollongong.Commercial radio from Lismore to Sydney, Nowra and Wollongong followed. One day I'll be a music jock again, but telling regional stories and advocating for the communities tied to them has been my focus for over 20 years.Until March 2016 I was Regional Content Manager and Breakfast Presenter for ABC South East NSW – covering towns like Bega, Merimbula, Batemans Bay, Narooma, Cooma, Jindabyne, and Bombala.About Regional was next, a new digital news service for South East NSW. I am very proud of the contribution About Regional has made to the regional news and stories landscape and the service it has provided. About Regional is now part of the Region Media Group.The Tathra and Bemboka bushfires of 2018 and the Black Summer Bushfires for 2019-2020 left a mark on me and my community. That experience led to rich and rewarding work with Kristy McBain, Member for Eden Monaro.Right now I am National Communications Director at Palliative Care Australia, building on my mum's work as a palliative care Clinical Nurse Consultant and my on going interest in 'matters of life and death'.
