I’m a filmmaker, writer, and musician. Over the past 15 years, I’ve produced, shot, and edited feature and short documentaries, commercials, concerts, and sketch videos for companies, nonprofits, and all things in-between. I’ve been lucky to work alongside some of the very best in the documentary industry including Chicago’s own Kartemquin Films where I produced my first film, “Raising Bertie.” I’m also a Creative Director at Fungi Media.Though it isn’t obvious at first or second glance, I’m the mixed-raced son of a white father and and Afro-Jamaican mother. I’ve spent my whole life trying to answer questions about my background – other’s questions and my own – and it’s a journey that informs every aspect of my life. I can’t say I’ve found all the answers, but I have gotten good at asking questions.I’m also involved in an organization of independent documentary producers called the Documentary Producers Alliance (DPA), where I’m the current co-chair of the Equity and Inclusion committee.In my free time, I play in a rap/dance/comedy band, The Flavor Savers. We’ve toured extensively, performed at Bonnaroo Music Festival, X Games and SXSW, and opened for acts like John Oates, Kool Keith, Turquoise Jeep, and Usher.
