Specific areas of impact include growing lender relationships; proforma modeling; economic analysis; lender selection & negotiation process; closing process management; title/survey process management; loan documentation negotiation; lender reporting; investor reporting; and accounting oversight.

Provide legal and strategic guidance, analysis and management of various projects within NRI’s real property portfolio, including: acquisitions and dispositions; office and retail leasing matters; senior and construction financing; and land use matters.Manage outside counsel in connection with commercial transactions, including purchase and sale matters, leasing matters and land use and zoning matters.Responsible for compliance with internal investment regulations and policies.Collaborate with internal asset management, development, accounting and marketing departments on development and management of commercial real estate projects.

Development: serve as outside general counsel to project owners and developers and guide them through multifaceted development projects, including public/private partnerships, that utilize mixed financing sources (conventional, construction and mezzanine debt financing, private equity, low-income housing tax credits ("LIHTC") and tax-exempt bond financing) to support the development of such projects.Leasing: provide advice to landlords and tenants (including franchisors/franchisees) in the negotiation of complex commercial leasing transactions relating to retail, restaurant, office and industrial properties.Corporate: counsel clients on corporate entity selection and drafting of related entity documents (LLC joint venture agreements; LP agreements) with the goals of providing clear roles and responsibilities throughout ownership structure, minimizing risk and owner liability and maximizing value to partners/joint venturers.Co-chair of firm's recruiting committee; member of firm's diversity + inclusion committee

Counsel to owners and developers of multi-family housing projects using Low Income Housing Tax Credits ("LIHTC") and bond debt financing including a municipal housing authority.
