Opened a small retail business with my wife and grew it rapidly, tripling size and sales over just the first year. Used to host monthly pet welfare days and fundraisers for the local animal shelter and a rescue ran by a friend of ours. After mutually agreeing to sell out and move on in our lives the new owner backed out, we instead gave all our contacts and accounts to a former partner who went and started his own slightly different business while we liquidated the rest of the business.
