In public practice for over 30 years, now contracting with GRA Chartered Accountants, previously having merged my business MHK Chartered Accountants (originally Mabee Halstead & Kiddle, a long-established well-respected chartered accounting partnership) to form Greenlion, then moved to contracting with Frank Accounting. Operates from fringe Auckland CBD & home offices. Actively involved with the establishment and growth of a number of businesses, many in the ICT world, currently on the board of a number of a number of successful private companies including companies within the Pure SEO Group, Buro Seating, the Harvard Group, also Just Life Group Ltd, a listed company on the USX that was previously listed on the NZX, being on the board of this when this floated as Just Water International Ltd on the NZAX stock exchange in 2004, resigned, and invited to rejoin the board upon de-listing from NZX in 2024.In 1989 started Global Accounting, a computer software development business targeting professional firms - this business was sold in 2000 to an Australian public company; continued a high involvement in ICT, ex Chairperson of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants’ Auckland Computer Group.Very happily married to Pam, 3 wonderful adult children (Louise, Liz & Tim).Community involvements include past Trustee of the Stardome Observatory; past Treasurer of a school Board of Trustees, honorary auditor of sports clubs, church parish committee involvements, continuing on many Body Corporate committees, and serve as a Justice of the Peace since 1999.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------Specialities: Business advisory looking at "The Big Picture" aiming for Freedom and Success - which means different things to different people, be it selling & retiring, MBO, semi-retirement; Minimisation of Taxation; Effective Business structuring; High interest in effective use of Trusts when appropriate, a Fellow of NZ Trustees Association.
