Distinction Level Thesis based on shape changing aerofoils.My research project focuses on developing a continuous surface variable camber aerofoil that can help cars and airplanes achieve efficient flow at high speeds with minimal disruption. Through the use of actuators, the surface of the aerofoil is controlled, and the flexible material's shape is changed to produce the desired camber setting. The project integrates material science, automation, mechanical and electrical engineering, and efficiency, aiming to create a breakthrough technology that can significantly improve the performance of high-speed vehicles. As a researcher in the project, I am involved in designing and testing the aerofoil and its actuation system, and exploring its potential applications in various industries.This research project is part of my capstone project I am undertaking under the University of Technology Sydney.
