The chief petty officer is the chief of his rating group. He is the senior enlisted man, the top enlisted rating in his field and, as such, is responsible for the efficient functioning of all persons working under his supervision. He is the functionary that sees that the immediate task at hand gets done. His first responsibility, of course, is to his immediate superiors. He must clothe the broad orders and projects of his division officer with practical translation by putting his men to work and seeing to their accomplishment. The chief's second and equally important responsibility is to the men assigned to his supervision. He must see that their basic needs of food, housing, and training are met, and, if any problems arise in these areas, he is the one who wrestles with the problem until it is solved. He is responsible for his men's esprit de corps. Further, the chief is the main liaison official between officers and the enlisted man.

Coordinated the training and full operational certification of the USS CARL VINSON Strike Group intelligence team consisting of 75 Intelligence Analysts, 45 Cryptologic Analysts, and 22 Atmospheric Analysts. Led the team through 15 training and certification events and fleet-wide exercises.Led a 58-person team responsible for intelligence analysis and prediction of adversary actions influencing combat operations of military forces in the Western Pacific, Middle East, and Arabian Gulf. Developed functional relationships across 18 work centers across 7 commands in 3 theaters of operations, ultimately supporting the successful execution of over 450 operations, 1 million pounds of ordinance delivered, and 3TB of collected intelligence forwarded to national intelligence agencies.Ensured the effective staffing, qualification, and operation of a 20-person, 24/7 tactical watch team responsible for intelligence reporting to nine Navy ships, 95 aircraft, and over 10,000 personnel.

Lead West Coast Intelligence Trainer for all intelligence personnel assigned to U.S. Navy afloat assets stationed in San Diego, CA, Everett, WA, Bremerton, WA, and Pearl Harbor, HI. - Mission Area Functional Lead for Afloat Training Group Pacific. Designed and implemented training and certification policies for all Navy intelligence assets in the Pacific theater. Promoted intelligence priorities and trained best practices to develop intelligence collection assets on U.S. Navy ships.- Facilitated staffing and equipment needs with Pacific Fleet Commanders; negotiating needs across 35 commands ensured 100% intelligence staffing for all deploying forces operating in the U.S. Pacific Fleet. - Master Training certified instructor designed and provided classroom and on-site training on intelligence administration, collection and reporting doctrine, and security clearance administration.
